Pew: United States blacks and Latinos prefer Instagram
United States according to a new report from the Pew Research Center, United States Hispanic, black and white rates consistent with social networks, but have different preferences for social media sites.
For example, Instagram more popular in Latino, Pinterest more popular among whites. About 80% of Hispanic, black and white adult Internet users use at least 1 in 5 large social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn and Twitter.
Among them, Facebook to become the most popular platform: about 71% of adult Internet users claim to use the site. Different ethnic groups have different preferences for other social media services, especially the Instagram.
This photo-sharing services in Latino and black netizens popularity than white Internet users: some 34% of Hispanic Internet users using Instagram, black 38%, whites accounted for only 21%. Instagram is popular among young adults.
For example, in 18-29 in the adult Internet users, about 53% to use this service, only 25% 30-49 adult Internet users, 50-64, 11%, aged 65 years and above is 6%. In contrast, Pinterest social media at whites more popular among Internet users: about 32% white Internet users using Pinterest, Spain-American 21%, black 12%. LinkedIn in white Internet users in the usage of 29%, black 28%, Latino 18%. In addition, the more balanced distribution of Twitter, Latino and black Internet users use of the service is about 25%, white is about 21%.
